About us

COMBOIS was founded in 1967 through an initiative by Heinrich Kuper, Germany, with the mission to exchange technical know-how and practical experience between the members.

COMBOIS members are leading distribution and service companies specializing in woodworking and wood processing machines. The founding members initially were based in Europe, but today COMBOIS has 16 members from countries all over the world.

Regular events like technical conferences, information seminars and annual general meetings support the exchange of technical know-how and communication between the membership. Each individual member is strengthened by the cooperation, exchange of technical and economic information and, above all, the direct interaction, synergy and personal relationships with their COMBOIS colleagues.

COMBOIS is a modern organization whose members achieve aggregate machine sales in excess of 350 million Euro and employ a highly-specialized total labor force of over 1100. They serve their customers with more than 270 trained and dedicated technicians worldwide and represent the leading manufacturers of woodworking technology.

Today, 40 years after its formation, COMBOIS has gained increasing significance and influence in the global woodworking community.
