40th Anniversary of COMBOIS

The 2007 COMBOIS Annual Meeting took place near Milan, Italy, and marked the 40^th Anniversary of this unique organization. COMBOIS was founded in 1967 through an initiative by Heinrich Kuper, Germany, with the mission to exchange technical know-how and practical experience between the members. Today we have 16 members from countries all over the world.

Our member Albricci s.r.l. from Italy invited all members to hold the Annual General Meeting in September.

The delegates had an interesting program. Besides the meeting a factory visit is always part of the AGM.

During the meeting Fritz Peine was unanimously elected President. Jann Bjørne Jr. of Falkenberg A/S, Norway, and Peter Kleinschmidt, President of Stiles Machinery, Inc, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, were re-confirmed as Vice Presidents and members of the Presidium.
The members discussed about going public of manufacturers and the effect they expect. They exchanged experiences with different manufacturers and compared data sheets with figures of their individual member companies.

The next day SALICE SPA in Brianza, Novedrate was visited. The members were informed about the wide product range of furniture hinges, connection fittings, opening systems, and got some sort of ideas in the production and philosophy.

The team of Vigano’ Arredamenti showed their impressive craft skills by presenting their furniture with ornamentations of e.g. stone and leather.
